      English Version   The picture above shows hydroelectric Hoover Dam, located at the border of Nevada and Arizona in the USA. It was built from 1931 to 1936 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt at a cost of $ 49 million (29 billion CFAF), during the great depression in the USA.   This dam is built on Lake Mead, an artificial lake built by the US government for this purpose; and has a capacity of producing 2080 megawatt (MW) of electricity.
